Help sought in solving murder

GARDEN GROVE POLICE are seeking the public’s help in solving a homicide (Shutterstock).

The public’s help is being sought in solving the murder of a Garden Grove man several weeks ago.

According to Sgt. Nick Jensen, the incident took place on Sept. 21 in the 12600 block of Westminster Avenue in Garden Grove. Police were alerted to a shooting at 4:02 p.m.

Arriving officers found a man – later identified as Mario Barrios, 67 – suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
