Continuing to pile up honors, the Garden Grove Unified School District has been named a 2025 California Honor Roll District, placing it among the top one-fifth of public school systems in the Golden State.

The GGUSD earned the award by having its students perform well in state test scores in English and math for all student populations it serves, as well as demonstrating “improving outcomes for historically underserved student populations.”

Also, 38 of the GGUSD’s schools were named Honor Roll Schools.

“It is inspiring to see our schools and students achieving at such high levels,” said Teri Rocco, a member of the district board of education.

Twenty-five elementary schools were named to the honor roll, along with nine intermediate schools and four – Bolsa Grande, Garden Grove, La Quinta and Pacifica – high schools.

The Honor Roll recognitions are made by the Educational Results Partnership and the Campaign for Business Education Excellence.

GGUSD is a K-12 system serving most of Garden Grove and portions of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
