Funds are being raised for the support of a Garden Grove police officer critically injured early this month when stuck by a vehicle while he was pursuing on foot an assault suspect.

According to the GGPD, injured was Officer Isaac Davila, who was knocked unconscious by the impact, and sustained multiple broken bones in his upper body and a severe traumatic brain injury and – at last report – was being treated in a hospital intensive care unit.

Davila is a seven-year veteran of the GGPD and started his law enforcement career a a Newport Beach Police Department Explorer.

To assist in the medical expenses and future care needs which may not be fully covered by insurance, the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs has created an account to help defray expenses.
