Kidnap suspect is arrested

A SUSPECT in a kidnapping attempt in Anaheim was quickly arrested (Shutterstock).

A quick response by Anaheim police led to the arrest of a suspect in an attempted kidnapping.

According to the APD, on Wednesday afternoon in the area of Lincoln Avenue and East Street a mother and her 15-year-old daughter were walking when a man jumped out of nearby bushes. He tried to pull them off the sidewalk while threatening to sexually assault them.

But the two females fought back and broke free. They immediately called police and provided a detailed description of the suspect.

Anaheim police then initiated a coordinated response that identified the suspect as Jose Gudino, 59.

In less than two hours, investigators found the suspect and took him into custody. He was booked on charges including kidnapping and attempted sexual assault
