I dead, 1 hurt in solo crash

ONE person died and another was injured in a solo crash in Garden Grove on Friday night (Shutterstock).

One person was killed and another injured in a traffic accident Friday night in Garden Grove.
According to the GGPD, the incident took place in the 12700 block of Euclid Street, near Garden Grove High School.

Police at around 10:05 p.m. received reports of a vehicle being driven recklessly southbound on Euclid Street from Katella Avenue. It was described as a silver 1999 Toyota Corolla.

Several minutes later a major traffic collision was reported. The solo crash ejected a male and female from the vehicle and they were unresponsive when police and paramedics arrived.

Both victims were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where the male was pronounced deceased.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. Anyone who witnessed a silver Toyota Corolla being driven recklessly in the southbound lanes of Euclid, witnessed the collision or has video footage of the incident is asked to call Investigator Lang at (714) 741-5823 or via e-mail at mlang@ggcity.org.
