A continued public hearing on a proposed update to the city’s general plan that would emphasize “mixed-use” zoning to allow different uses such as housing, retail and offices in the same area tops Wednesday’s meeting of the Westminster City Council.
The proposed update to the general plan identifies five areas in the city “designed to be pedestrian-friendly with higher densities than typical patterns of … use.”
They are the Civic Center, Westminster Boulevard/downtown, “corridors,” Little Saigon and the Northwest District.
The public hearing is continued from the March 25 meeting.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. in its chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd.
