A GARDEN GROVE man was arrested for the alleged shooting of another (Shutterstock).

A family dispute in Garden Grove ended up with one person hospitalized with a gunshot wound and the other arrested for attempted murder.

According to Sgt. Nick Jensen of the GGPD, the incident took place on Monday in the 12100 block of Flagstone Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard and north of the Garden Grove Freeway.

GGPD officers responded to the address at 3:54 p.m. regarding a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Both the victim and suspect were outside the residence when they arrived.

The victim -– Jeff Fulgham, s 48-year-old resident of Garden Grove – had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority personnel provided the immediate medical attention and the victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Dale Shroyer, 56, of Garden Grove – the suspect – was detained by police and later placed under arrest. The events leading up to the shooting are being investigated.
