The Rancho Alamitos High baseball team will travel to Loan Mart Field in Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday at 2 p.m. to play Schurr High of Montebello for the CIF-SS Division 8 championship.

The Vaqueros are 15-11 overall and have won four games in a row. The Spartans are 15-16 overall and have won six consecutive games.

New Argo Coach: Kevin Nichols is the new head football coach at Garden Grove High School. It will be his first head coaching job after three years as offensive coordinator at Century High in Santa Ana. The Centurions were 4-5-1 last season and finished in third place in the Zeta League.

Top Athlete: Quentin Pacelli of Garden Grove High has been named Golden Empire Conference Athlete of the Year for 2025-26.
