A SUSPECT was arrested in the shooting of two men in Huntington Beach (Shutterstock).

Two men were wounded early Monday morning in Huntington Beach, and a 22-year-old Huntington Beach man arrested and jailed for attempted murder.

According to the HBPD, the incident took place in the area of Lynn Lane and Warner Avenue. Police responded to the scene after receiving multiple reports of shots fired around 2:15 a.m.

The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police arrested Christian Irwin on two counts of attempted murder and booked him into Huntington Beach Jail.

The investigation that led to the arrest was conducted by the HBPD Major Crimes Unit and the Orange County Crime Lab.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing.
