An extreme hot weather advisory has been issued this week for the South Coast area, including Orange County.
The nearby area most likely to be affected is inland Orange County. Brea, for example, is predicted to hit the 90s, with a high of 95
by Wednesday. Garden Grove is forecast to reach 90 on Wednesday. Highs in the 90s will continue here through Thursday.
At the other end of the weather map, the high in Huntington Beach will reach 78 and be cooling each day toward the weekend.
But health officials are advising anyone traveling through, working in or living in those inland OC cities to use caution.
The advice is to stay hydrated, seek shade when possible and keep pets indoors and from getting overheated. It will likely end by Saturday.
