Brady Edmunds continued to polish his resume as one of the best high school quarterbacks in the nation as he led the Huntington Beach Oilers to a 42-14 win over Millikan High of Long Beach on Thursday night.

He threw for six touchdowns, running up a total of 434 passing yards. The defense starred as well, holding the Rams to 113 yards total offense and getting three turnovers.

Another quarterback having an outstanding night was Joseph Pham-Ngoy of Pacifica. A tight end last year, he ran for two scores from the QB position as the Mariners bested Beckman 27-7.

Overall, local teams won three of five games in these Week Zero clashes. In other contests, Santiago defeated Saddleback 23-12, while Los Amigos lost 20-14 to St. Bernard and Magnolia fell 47-7 to University High of Orlando, Florida.
