It would be a sign of the times.
With the old Westminster Mall being torn down – to be replaced by the new Bolsa Pacific project at Bolsa Avenue and Goldenwest Street – the only “survivor” is the Target department store.
To remind passersby that it’s still open for business, Target is asking the City of Westminster for permission to add two fence-mounted additional signs – each of them approximately seven feet, four inches high by 14 feet, 4.5 inches wide – at the site, facing Bolsa Avenue.
The signage would only remain until the demolition of the old mall and construction of the new center are completed.
A public hearing before the Westminster Planning Commission will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers, 8200 Westminster Blvd.
