BOLSA GRANDE will face Savanna in a key Tango League game on Thursday (GGUSD photo).

This week is a sort of “fall break” for a lot of high school football teams in our West Orange County area.

Eight of 15 have a bye, with the other seven playing as usual.

The most interesting match-up is in the nine-member Tango League. On Thursday, Bolsa Grande (3-2 overall and 2-1 in league) will host Savanna (3-2, 2-1).

In a non-league clash on Friday, La Quinta (3-1) will host Rancho Alamitos (4-0).

Sitting out the week are Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Marina, Ocean View, Orange, Pacifica, Western and Westminster.

Here’s this week’s schedule. All games are set to begin at 7 p.m., but all details are subject to change.

THURSDAY
Bolsa Grande (3-2 overall, 2-1 in Tango League) hosts Savanna (3-2, 2-1).
Santiago (1-3, 0-2 in Tango) hosts Century (0-4, 0-2).

FRIDAY
Edison (1-3) hosts Summit High of Fontana (4-1).
La Quinta (3-1) hosts Rancho Alamitos (4-0)
Los Amigos (3-1) hosts Eisenhower of Rialto (1-4).
Magnolia (2-2, 1-1 in Tango League) hosts Loara (4-1, 3-0).
