Two illegal marijuana dispensaries in Westminster were raided on Thursday and seized were cash, marijuana and other items.
According to the WPD, detectives along with investigators from the California Department of Cannabis Control served search warrants at the two sites, one located in the 9550 block of Bolsa Avenue and the second in the 14300 Beach Boulevard block.
Westminster doesn’t issue permits for marijuana dispensaries.
Seized was over $15,000 in cash, over 40 pounds of marijuana, and over 145 pounds of THC vape devices and THC-infused edible products. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the main intoxicant in marijuana that produces a “high.” Also taken was an unregistered firearm.
Five persons were detained and released pending further investigation.
The WPD is asking that anyone with more information regarding these operations contact Detective W. Bouffard at (714) 548-3736.
