A SERVICE station on Katella Avenue was in Garden Grove was robbed late Wednesday night.

It took two tries, but a robber made off with cash from a Garden Grove service station late Thursday night. According to police, the incident took place just before midnight at a Chevron in the 11000 block of Katella Avenue.

The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, who recognized that the “weapon” was a replica and refused. But then the man displayed a Taser stun-gun and demanded money again, so the clerk opened the register. The suspect then took cash from the register and fled in a vehicle.

Police say the suspect was described as a black male with a thin build. He was wearing sunglasses, a baseball cap and a black jacket. The vehicle was a grey Honda Civic.
