TWO PEOPLE were arrested on murder charges in the stabbing death Friday in the parking lot of the Huntington Beach Central Library.

Two people have been arrested for murder in connection with a fatal stabbing early Friday near the Huntington Beach Central Library. According to the HBPD, the incident occurred not long after midnight in the area of Goldenwest Street at Talbert Avenue.

Arrested were Brandon Hicks, 27, of Huntington Beach, and a 17-year-old Huntington Beach girl.

Arriving police officers found the victim lying on the ground bleeding. Officers and and then paramedics rendered medical aid, and the man was taken to a local hospital where he died of his wounds.

Police say that a group of people were in the northeast lot of the library, which is surrounded by the Central Park. Two males got into a fight and one was stabbed. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification of the next of kin.
