Suspect arrested in stabbing incident

UPDATE:  The suspect, identified as Daniel Negron Rivera, a 57-year-old residing in Garden Grove has been arrested for the attempted murder of a 47-year-old male. The victim status is still critical but stable at this time. 

One person has been hospitalized and another arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in Garden Grove Tuesday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Vincente Valdaro of the GGPD, the attack took place in the 11800 block of Fallingleaf at around 4:20 p.m. A suspect fled from the scene right after the incident, but was apprehended by officers nearby.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition. An investigation is continuing, and police have not released any further information about the victim or the suspect in custody.
