Argos best Lobos; Mariners roll along

GARDEN GROVE defeated Los Amigos and Pacifica remained unbeaten in high school basketball action Wednesday night.

Garden Grove staked an early claim as the favorite to win the Garden Grove League boys’ basketball title with a 54-49 win over GGL rival Los Amigos at Century High School Wednesday night.

The Argonauts improved their record to 6-3 with the win and were led by Sebastian Castro with 23 points. Sergio Salgado had 15 points for the Lobos (3-2).

Pacifica’s boys’ team continued to roll, improving its record to 7-0 with a 52-42 win over Loara. The Mariners were led by Andrew Brown with 18 points.
