According to police, the crash occurred at Edinger Avenue and Springdale Street around 3:30 a.m. A power pole was knocked down and the intersection was shut down in all directions for several hours. Drivers were rerouted around the scene of the accident.
Those dropping off students at the high school were advised to proceed south on Springdale and enter off Marina Viking Way.
