Air-raising fun at the Breitling Show

THE BREITLING Huntington Beach Air Show is set for Friday through Sunday in the pier and beach area.

The second annual Breitling Huntington Beach Air Show will bring excitement to the skies over Surf City this weekend. The free air show – conducted Friday through Sunday – will feature aerial performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Rotal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, a flyby by a FedEx 757 jet and other attractions.

Flying will be from noon to 4 p.m. each day, and the Airshow Festival near the city pier will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a wide variety of exhibits and a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Center with rockets, a flight simulator and more. Military and aviation-themed exhibits will be on Main Street.

The HB Airshow has partnered with KFI AM 640 and iHeart Radio to offer a live broadcast of the show via a custom Airshow app. Visit http://www.iheartradio.com to download the app. KFI AM 640 will be broadcasting live during the three days of the show. Another new addition to the HB Airshow is the Corona® Sand Bar, where air show attendees can purchase and enjoy a cold beer (must be 21 or over) on the beach.

An estimated 200,000 people attended the inaugural show in 2016. While the event is free, VIP seating tickets are available for $139. Friday will be a practice day, with the main performances on Saturday and Sunday.
