PACIFICA is rated first in Division 6 boys’ water polo again this week by the CIF-SS.

Seven local football teams got recognition in the latest rankings from the CIF-SS released on Monday. Additionally, three boys’ water polo and one girls’ volleyball teams were ranked or at least received votes.

In football:

• Division 2: Edison is tied for 10th; Upland is first and Sunset League rival Los Alamitos is ninth.
• Division 8: Garden Grove was unranked but received some votes. Rio Mesa is first.
• Division 10: Pacifica is fourth; Apple Valley is first.
• Division 11: Westminster is fifth; Culver City is first.
• Division 13: Orange is first, followed by La Quinta in fourth and Ocean View in ninth.

In boys’ water polo

• Divisions 1 & 2: Huntington Beach is third; Mater Dei is first.
• Division 5: Ocean View was unranked but received some votes. San Marino is first.
• Division 6: Pacifica is first.

In girls’ volleyball:

• Division 8: Ocean View is sixth; Upland Christian Academy is first.
