
TWO MEN have been arrested in connection with the Oct. 28 shooting at a Westminster restaurant and nightclub the left one person dead and another wounded.
Two suspects have been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at a Westminster restaurant and nightclub.
According to the Orange County District Attorney’s office, Minh Quang Tran, 40, of Santa Ana will face a charge of murder and another of assault with a firearm. Hung Khac Chau, 46, of Fountain Valley is being charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
In the incident on Saturday at the Club Bleu on Beach Boulevard, one person was killed and another wounded in the venue, which was crowded with a Halloween party. The identity of the victim has not been publically disclosed. The Orange County Coroner simply lists the deceased as a male.
24-Hour Fitness agrees to $1.3 million settlement
A settlement of $1.3 million and nationwide restitution has been agreed to by 24-Hour Fitness to resolve allegations by the Orange County District Attorney’s office and the Contra Costa County DA of “misleading and unfair business practices.”
The settlement was filed on Wednesday in Orange County Superior Court.
Prosecutors allege that customers were sold memberships with a promise of a low lifetime annual renewal rate – with large upfront payments – but that rate increased by 100, 200 or 300 percent.
24-Hour Fitness, headquartered in San Ramon, has 17 locations in Orange County, including two in Huntington Beach and one each in Garden Grove and Westminster.
