Panthers play in state regional final game

The Orange High Panther football team, winner of the school’s first CIF-SS football title since the Prohibition era, will go in search of new honors Friday night.

OHS (12-2) will host Caruthers (12-0) High in the 6-AA State Regional Finals at Fred Kelly Stadium on the El Modena High campus. The Panthers are led by Jason Wilkinson, who has passed for over 2500 yards this season. The Blue Raiders feature a balanced attack with passing and rushing. Jared Gilmore has thrown for 1500 yards, while Imanol Arredondo has run for nearly 1600 yards.

The winner of Friday’s contest will advance to the state title game against the winner of the Stratmore-St. Patrick/St. Vincent game.
