Ducks post their third straight victory

THE ANAHEIM DUCKS beat the Boston Bruins 3-1 on Tuesday.

The Anaheim Ducks began the second half of the 2017-28 NHL season on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over the Boston Bruins, posting their third win in a row. The triumph in the Hub City, put the team’s record at 25-17-9, worth 59 points and a three-way tie for second place in the Pacific Division with the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings.

The top three teams in each division advance to the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Adam Henrique scored twice for the Orange County team. Jakob Silfverberg also lit the red lamp for the Ducks. One down note was that goalie John Gibson had to leave the game after making 25 stops. His readiness for the next game, against the Canadiens (20-24-6) in Montreal, is uncertain.
