A suspect sought in the robbery of a bank inside a Garden Grove supermarket earlier this month has been arrested in Buena Park.

According to the Garden Grove Police Department, Mark Anthony Romero, Jr., 38, a transient, was taken into custody on March 8 by Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputies as he was coming out of the Townhouse Motel in Buena Park.

He admitted to 11 robberies in Los Angeles and Orange counties, according to police, including the March 5 holdup of the US Bank inside the Vons supermarket at Valley View Street and Chapman Avenue in West Garden Grove.

Tips from Facebook followers helped lead officers to a quick identification and arrest of Romero, who is on probation from a bank robbery in 2017.
