Caira gets 200th win as M’s prevail

PACIFICA stayed on track to meet Cypress next week for the Empire League baseball title.

Pacifica High School’s baseball team defeated Kennedy High 6-1 on Wednesday, keeping the Mariners on track to battle for the Empire League title on May 8 and 10 against Cypress. It was PHS coach Mike Caira’s 200th career win.

The Mariners are 7-0 in league and 17-10 overall. Before the M’s take on the Centurions they will play the Fighting Irish again on Friday.
