Two new commercial projects won approval from the Westminster Planning Commission on Wednesday.
Planners gave their approval to one development that would require a general plan change for a parcel at Goldenwest Street and Sowell Avenue from single-family residential to general business.
A 4,300-square foot building with a lane for cars to order and purchase food would be the new land use. The name of the proposed eatery operator is not available.
Also approved is a request for a conditional use permit and variance for the operation of a 5,565 square-foot banquet facility in conjunction with an existing 9,765 square-foot dance studio.
The applicant is also received a variance from the minimum number of parking spaces. The location is 7222-7732 Garden Grove Blvd.
