Planners approve two new projects

THE WESTMINSTER Planning Commission approved two new projects on Wednesday.

Two new commercial projects won approval from the Westminster Planning Commission on Wednesday.

Planners gave their approval to one development that would require a general plan change for a parcel at Goldenwest Street and Sowell Avenue from single-family residential to general business.

A 4,300-square foot building with a lane for cars to order and purchase food would be the new land use. The name of the proposed eatery operator is not available.

Also approved is a request for a conditional use permit and variance for the operation of a 5,565 square-foot banquet facility in conjunction with an existing 9,765 square-foot dance studio.

The applicant is also received a variance from the minimum number of parking spaces. The location is 7222-7732 Garden Grove Blvd.
