An undercover investigation of possible suspects in several Garden Grove burglaries led to surveillance in Long Beach that continued to Huntington Beach.

There, detectives noted that the suspects divided into two teams, one in a silver Jaguar and one in a black Chrysler minivan. In the 1000 block of Jon Day Drive in Huntington Beach, detectives saw three suspects exiting a home that had been tented for fumigation. They drove off in the Jaguar; two others in the Chrysler acted as lookouts, according to police. Fountain Valley police unit stopped the minivan and arrested the suspects. The Jaguar evaded police and a pursuit began, concluding with a crash in Santa Ana near the intersection of Greenville Street and Manly Avenue.

Three suspects were arrested with help from the Santa Ana Police Department and an Orange County Sheriff’s Department helicopter.

Stolen property was recovered from the burglary. The four adult suspects were booked into Orange County Jail and the 17-year-old into Juvenile Hall.
