The 35th annual National Night Out event will take place this evening (Tuesday) across the U.S. including in the cities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster.
This free community safety event gives members of the public to interact with police officers, firefighters and others.
In Garden Grove, it will be held in the Village Green Park (Main and Euclid streets) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Representatives of the Garden Grove Police Department and Garden Grove Fire Department will be there, along with 30 community organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Animal Care Services.
In Huntington Beach, the city’s fire and police departments will host it at 4 p.m. at the Target Center at Adams Avenue and Brookhurst Street.
In Stanton, the event will be held in Central Park, 10660 Western Ave. from 6-8 p.m. On hand will be the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Orange County Fire Authority. For more information, call (714) 890-4270.
In Westminster, the event will run from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Target parking lot at 16400 Beach Blvd. It will be hosted by the Westminster Police Department and will feature a K-9 demonstration, a bounce house, a food festival and more. For more information, call (714) 548-3716.
