Windy weather cancels Surf City Splash
The annual Surf City Splash event planned for today (Tuesday) in Huntington Beach has been cancelled due to “high winds and water safety concerns.”
Scheduled was a pancake breakfast this morning from 9-11 a.m. and a dip into the cold Pacific Ocean waters at noon near the municipal pier. The event benefits the International Surfing Museum. It won’t be rescheduled for 2019 and the next Splash will be in 2020, according to Diana Dehm of the ISM.
