Planners consider adult day care center

A PROPOSED new adult day care center goes before the Westminster Planning Commission on Wednesday.

A proposal to create a new adult day care center tops Wednesday’s meeting of the Westminster Planning Commission.

Kathy Pham is asking planners to approve a conditional use permit for the establishment of the center at 14560 Magnolia St., Unit 101.

The center would provide nonmedical care and supervision for a maximum of 60 adults within an existing 2,654-square foot space that currently houses the Happy Life Healthy Life Center. The proposed adult day care center would operate from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Approval of the permit is recommended by city planning staff.

The commission meets in the council chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd. at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for March 6.
