The building boom in Stanton is rolling on.

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the City Council, approval was given to two matters, which aim at adding to the community’s housing stock.

The council on a 4-0 vote approved a precise plan development, tentative tract agreement and other items for the construction of 17 three-story townhomes on a 0.92 acre site at 11752 Beach Blvd.

Also, the council voted 4-0 in favor of an exclusive negotiating agreement with KB Homes for possible future development of a housing tract on city-owned property located at 7455 Katella Ave.

The council has just four members now after Al Ethans stepped down in February. According to City Clerk Patricia, the city is in an application phase of recruitment to fill that seat. An appointment is planned for the April 23 meeting.
