“Escape room” goes before planners

A proposal to establish an “escape room” entertainment business goes before the Westminster Planning Commission when it meets on Wednesday, May 1.

Applicant Marc Reyes is requesting a conditional use permit is establish The King’s Eye Escape Room at a 1,888-square foot space in the Westminster Center at Goldenwest Street and Westminster Boulevard.

An escape room is a mental and physical adventure game in one or room adjacent rooms in which people solve mental and physical puzzles to complete an objective or gain “escape.” It is typically a party or group event.

This business would be located at 6731 Westminster Blvd., Suite 105 E. The panel meets in the council chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd. at 6:30 p.m.
