One student is dead and others wounded in a shooting at a high school on Colorado on Tuesday.
According to authorities, two persons – an adult male and a male juvenile – were arrested in connection with the incident at STEM School Highlands Ranch, located about seven miles from Columbine High School, site of one of the most notorious school shootings in 1999.
One of the suspects was identified as Devon Erickson, 18. Both suspects are believed to be students at the school. According to reports, the shooting began just before 2 p.m. and the suspects walked “deep inside the school” during their assault with handguns.
Seven of the eight wounded students were considered to be in critical condition.
Many details were missing. The identity of the dead student was not revealed; one source said it was an 18-year-old youth.
