A boy battling cancer got some super help on Sunday in Garden Grove.

The Garden Grove Fire Department, Garden Grove Firefighters Assn., Operation Be Kind and OC Drive came together to help Joshua celebrate his birthday and make real one of his wishes: a ride on a fire truck.

Not only did he get to suit up in firefighter turnout gear, he was able to take that ride from GGFD Station Number Six along with family and Mayor Steve Jones.

Knowing that the youth was a big Batman fan, his benefactors arranged to have Batman show up on the fire truck.

After the ride, the Caped Crusader was joined by Superman and Wonder Woman.

Joshua’s actual birthday was in January but he missed the celebration due to cancer treatment.
