Halos drop their seventh straight game

KOLE CALHOUN continues to excel with the glove, but his team is stuck in a seven-game losing streak (Angels photo).

How low can they go?

The Los Angeles Angels continued their dreary road trip to oblivion with a 3-0 loss to the Boston Sox in Fenway Park on Thursday, suffering their seventh straight loss, and their eighth in nine games.

Against the Sox pitching staff, the Halos could only collect two hits. The highlight of the game was a spectacular diving catch in right field by Kole Calhoun.

The loss dropped the Angels to 56-60. They remain in fourth place in the American League West, and are now 10 games back in the AL wild card race.

On Friday, the Angels will try to end the season’s longest skid when they again take on the Sox at Fenway again at 4:10 p.m. Pacific time. Jaime Barria (4-5) will make the start for the Orange County team.
