Fourteen local high school sports teams received recognition this week in polls released Tuesday by the CIF-SS.

In football, here are the teams – by division – ranked or receiving votes for schools serving the communities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster.

• Division 3: Edison (received votes).
• Division 7: Huntington Beach (received votes).
• Division 8: Garden Grove (sixth).
• Division 10: Western (third), Orange (seventh).
• Division 11: Marina (sixth).
• Division 12: Ocean View (received votes).

For girls volleyball

• Divisions 1 and 2: Huntington Beach (10th).
• Division 7: Bolsa Grande (second), Garden Grove (third), Loara (seventh).

For cross country

• Boys Division 3: Rancho Alamitos (fifth).
• Boys Division 4: Ocean View (sixth).
• Girls Division 10: Ocean View (10th).
