A missing teenage girl is found safe

KATIE was missing from her home in Westminster, and the public’s help in locating her was sought. She was found safe on Thursday.

UPDATE: The missing teenage girl who went missing from her home Wednesday morning was found safe on Thursday, according to police.

Westminster police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing person today (Wednesday).

According to the WPD, a missing person’s report was filed at 6:45 a.m. for a 14-year-old named Katie who wasn’t in her bedroom when her parents checked on her.

Katie is described as being 5-foot, 7-inches tall, 190 lbs., with blue eyes and bright blue hair that extends below the shoulders. It’s not known how she was dressed when she left.

She was last seen Tuesday night around 11 p.m. in the area of Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street. Patrol officers and detectives are searching for the girl, and the public’s help is requested.
