Surfboard shop fire is extinguished

FIREFIGHTERS from the OCFA and HBFD knocked down a fire at a surfboard shop in Westminster on Wednesday afternoon (OCFA image).

Units from the Orange County Fire Authority and the Huntington Beach Fire Department were summoned to a commercial structure Wednesday afternoon and extinguished a blaze at a surfboard glassing shop.

It took about 20 minutes to knock out the fire, located at Aloha Surfboards in the 14000 block of Edwards Street in Westminster. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire was ruled accidental.

The OCFA provides fire and medical emergency services to Westminster.
