Two are killed in pedestrian accident

TWO pedestrians were killed in Garden Grove on Saturday night in a traffic accident (Shutterstock).

Two pedestrians – one of them a 6-year-old boy – were killed Saturday night when struck by an automobile in Garden Grove.

According to Master Officer Paul Ashby of the GGPD, the incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Benton Street just west of Nelson Street/Century Boulevard.

Dead are the boy and a 60-year-old man. The Orange County Fire Authority declared them deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and waited for emergency personnel to arrive.

Investigators spoke to the driver and found no signs of impairment.
