Planners to consider new service station
A one-year time extension for the construction of a new service station will be considered at Thursday’s meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission.
The proposed station would include a drive-through convenience store on a vacant lot at 7051 Garden Grove Blvd., west of Knott Street.
At the Nov. 7 meeting the commission rejected on a 7-0 vote a proposal to reduce the total number of legal lots from four to three for the construction of a single-family house on each lot at 9792 Stanford Ave.
Also, the planners approved the relocation of certain existing billboards to convert them into one two-sided electronic billboard along the Garden Grove Freeway at the southwest corner of Garden Grove Boulevard at Haster Street.
The planners meet in the council chambers at the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. at 7 p.m.
