An attempted kidnapping in Stanton is being investigated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the OCSD – which provides police services in Stanton – the incident took place about 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2. A 23-year-old woman was walking in the 7000 block of Syracuse Avenue when a man grabbed her and tried to force her into a newer model black sedan.
The woman was able to pull herself free and run away. She described the suspect as a white male in his 50s to 60s with gray hair and black eyebrows. She said he was about 6-feet tall with an average-to-heavy build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and white shoes.
