It was a very wild, wild card weekend

TWO OVERTIME games and two other close contests made for a wild “wild card” round in the NFL playoffs (Shutterstock).

The “wild card” weekend for the NFL playoffs certainly did justice to the name as fans were treated to two overtime contests and two other games with the outcome still hanging in doubt in the final minutes.

Here are the results:

SUNDAY (AFC)

  • Minnesota 26, New Orleans 20 (OT).
  • Seattle 17, Philadelphia 9.

SATURDAY (NFC)

  • Tennessee 20, New England 13.
  • Houston 22, Buffalo 13 (OT).

The lineup for the divisional round is as follows:

SATURDAY, JAN. 11

  • Minnesota (11-6) at San Francisco (13-3).
  • Tennessee at (10-7) at Baltimore (14-2).

SUNDAY, JAN. 12

  • Houston (11-6) at Kansas City (12-4).
  • Seattle (11-5) at Green Bay (13-3).

The conference championship games will be on Sunday, Jan. 19, and the LIV Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
