THE ANAHEIM MARRIOTT SUITES hotel in Garden Grove will be the site of the annual Gala Dinner on March 28 honoring the man, woman and businesses of the year (Marriott photo).

The winners of the Garden Grove Man and Woman of the Year for 2020/2021 and Small and Large Business of the Year have been announced by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce.

They are:

• Ric Lerma is Man of the Year. Lerma, a lifetime resident of Garden Grove, has been active not only within the chamber but also with the Garden Grove Community Foundation, Garden Grove Downtown Business Association (of which he is the president) and the Garden Grove Neighborhood Association.
• Maureen Blackmun is the Woman of the Year. President of the Garden Grove Neighborhood Association, she has helped organize a series of projects including organizing “Meet on Main Street” public forums on matters of civic interest and the cleanup of a portion of the Pavilion Plaza shopping center.
• CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp. is Large Business of the Year. It’s an employee-owned company that provides cement products that have a lower carbon footprint than others.
• Garden Grove Dog and Cat Hospital, Small Business of the Year, is an iconic local business with more than 60 years of service to local pets and their owners.

They will be honored at the chamber’s annual Gala Dinner on Saturday, March 28 at the Anaheim Marriott Suites hotel at 12015 Harbor Blvd. (at Chapman Avenue), Garden Grove.
