The second Art in the Park event held Saturday in Garden Grove’s Village Green featured more than just daubs of paint on paper

Held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the downtown, the AITP included a tree art contest, painting of figurines of popular superheroes and cartoon characters and the Garden Grove Unified School District’s 42nd annual “First Impressions” Student Art Exhibit in the Courtyard Center.

Also, there was a 1939 Cadillac body to paint designs and messages upon, vocal performances by singing groups from area high schools and even a quick course in self-baking goodies.

The event was a cooperative venture between the City of Garden Grove and the GGUSD.

THE COURTYARD CENTER in the Village Green hosted the 42nd annual “First Impressions” art show featuring work by students in the Garden Grove Unified School District.
