A double homicide is being investigated by Huntington Beach police after the bodies of a husband and wife were found Monday night.
According to Capt. Tim Martin of the HBPD, at 7:43 p.m. officers were sent to a home in the 600 block of 8th Street (west of Main Street) on a “check the welfare” call. There they found a 56-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The names of the victims are not being released pending notification of the next of kin. The preliminary investigation has given detectives no reason to believe there’s a threat to the community or there are any outstanding suspects.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective Anthony Pham at (714) 536-5973.
