4 more coronavirus deaths reported

THE ORANGE COUNTY death toll from coronavirus is at 61 (

The number of new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Orange County reported on Thursday is 96, bringing the total to 2,873. On Wednesday the count was 131, and on Tuesday, it was 69 people.

According to the county Health Care Agency, four new deaths are in today’s count, bringing the total to 61. Eleven of the 61 fatalities were residents of skilled nursing facilities.

Tests reported on Thursday were 2,062, with the cumulative test tally reaching 39,112 in Orange County.  At present, 202 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, of which 62 are in intensive care units.

On a city-by-city basis, Anaheim has the most cases with 457, followed by Santa Ana (429, including 143 inmates at Orange County Jail), Huntington Beach (240), Garden Grove (161) and Irvine (139).

Locally, Westminster and Stanton have 48 and 31 cases respectively.
