The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Orange County hit 4,500 in Tuesday’s report by the Orange County Health Care Agency.

Seventy-five new cases were reported and no new deaths. The cumulative total remains at 88 and includes 23 residents of senior nursing facilities.

According to the OCHCA, two hundred twenty-nine cases of people with the virus are now hospitalized with 86 in intensive care units. That includes 513 residents of senior nursing facilities and 350 county jail inmates.

There have been a total of 83,046 tests conducted to-date in the county. The latest tally of tests in the latest report –115 – is considered an undercount due to a state reporting system error for both that number and the cumulative total of tests. The data will be updated when the problem is resolved, according to the OCHCA.

On a city by-city basis, Santa Ana remains the leader with 757 cases, followed by Anaheim with 707. Following them are Huntington Beach, with 295, then Garden Grove with 226 and Orange with 213.

Statistics from Santa Ana and Orange include inmates at county jail facilities in those cities.

Local cities Westminster and Stanton are at 76 and 47, respectively.
