Charges filed against alleged stabber

A homeless man was charged Monday for attempted murder for allegedly stabbing another homeless man and assaulting three others near a Garden Grove church.

According to MyNewsLA.com, the incident took place in the area of the United Methodist Church at Stanford Avenue and Main Street on May 27.

Arrested was Edwin Sepulveda Margarit, 60. He faces a charge of attempted murder, two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon and two misdemeanor counts of brandishing a weapon.

The incident took place last Wednesday. Margarit is charged with stabbing Richard Bihner, 57, in the chest several times and threatening  others with his knife.
