COVID-19 cases rise again

865 NEW cases of coronavirus were reported Tuesday by the Orange County Health Care Agency (Pexels/Anna Shvets).

The number of new confirmed coronavirus cases in Orange County bounced up to 865 on Tuesday from weekend lows of about half that.

According to the county health care agency, the new cumulative total of cases is now at 26,120. Of that number, 11,088 are considered to be recovered.

Nine deaths were reported on Tuesday; the new sum is 433 people.

The test positivity figure, which shows what percentage of people tested have turned out to have the COVID-19 infection, is at 14.6, down from Monday’s 14.9 percent.

Seven hundred twelve cases are now hospitalized in the OC, of which 237 are in intensive case units.
